Art Analysis

                               A work of art

MMIW- Missing Murdered Indigenous

Strong, lucky to be here still and proud to take a stand to help make a difference. Maggie and Trish, best friends work together one photo at a time in the fall weather, uniquely in their own way yet exactly the same in their native traditional regalia. The art in the making is specially hand sewed and took hours to prepare with animal furs, material blended to combine such a beautiful work of art. The qaspeqs(eskimo dresses), head dresses and yurarsuutet(dance fans) help represent the natives in which some are a little different and may have their own stories behind it depending on where you are from. These women help by taking a silent stand for the ones not so lucky and are unfortunately not able to be here to speak on their own behalf. Beautiful yet sad.

The cite above includes a video and presentation in depth explaining more about Missing Murdered Indigenous Women. please help yourself and visit this website to educate yourself about these native women all over the world.
